I have loved the Bearen brothers since they rescued Lariah then Saige. Happy to finally get to their story and was not disappointed.Sent to Earth with a prophecy to fulfill the are partnered with Ellecia, Lariah's sister. I so wanted her to be their Arima, but it wasn't to be. They find their Arima in Hope, Ellecia's partner's cousin, a Candy Bride, recently returned to Earth and now missing.
Ellecia and the Bearen brothers have an instant connection, with close siblings like feelings. She moves heaven and earth to find their Arima.
Hope is an artist with some physic talents. She had a strong pull to go to Jasan. Choosing to go as a Candy Bride. When her time was up without meeting the male set that felt right, she returns to Earth feeling frustrated and full of self doubt. Then the visions start of three men and strange creatures.
Hope is kidnapped by the Brethren. She escapes along with a few other women and is rescued by her cousins fiancé and the three men she has been dreaming of. The rescue ends in tragedy when Ellecia is fatally injury and she asks the Bearen brothers and Hope to raise her triplet sons.
Hope and the Bearen brothers struggle with their grief and worry over the triplet boys born to soon. While trying to deal with the Brethren threat. There are misunderstandings, and cultural clashes that threaten to pull them a part.
Hope exasperated me at times. I wanted better for my favorite male set. I was so proud of them finding a way to bridge their cultural beliefs and disappointed in Hope, who didn't even try to. She was so willing to just walk away from the Bearen's and the babies. While I am happy that the Bearen brothers are happy, I am mixed about Hope. When the brothers agreed to the Sentinel's terms on raising the babies, I fell a little more in love with them.
A fun fast paced and emotional story.

I would have rated this book much higher if it wasn't, just as the first 3, a victim of spell check. There were a number of scenes where the names of the characters were wrong. Most blatently, the first time Hope makes love to the Bearen brothers and, at the end, is called Saige. Later in the book, Jackson kept becoming Garron, then Jackson, then Garron again in the same paragraph. I believe the editor or printer needs a cheat sheet with then names of each male-set, their clan and their Arima. The story changing locatons between the multiple planets and cities is a stong story telling tool, but when the wrong name is used, the reader thinks the location has changed. I've been following this series since it began, but instead of improving, the editing is becoming worse.
I m impressed. The saga continues better and better.
This book is more different there are some bitter and sad events.
The Bearens are in such emotional turmoil, during to find their Arima, and the struggle with emotions to Ellicia (Ellicia Daniels, is the sister of Lariah Daniels from the earlier books, and Hope's cousin Harlan). The story Ellicia and Harlan, had touched my heart, so emotional, so much love, so sad...
Hope thinks the Bearens are somehow emotionally connected to Ellicia, she is wrong. There is some development thru the book, which takes the reader thru agonizing conflicts between them. However, the book continues with getting clan history, and the Ancient World deeper and more detailed. Form my part; I would like to have more time the emotional development Hope-Bearens.
There is also much of action and adventure to the story.
So there are all aspect that are in the first three books, the alpha, good looking, protective males and the sweetness of the heroine.

This was a great addition to the series. I really enjoyed this book and can hardly wait until the next one is released. There are a lot of moving pieces so you really have to pay attention to what's going on. There are important events that take place on different planets, at different times and each species have their own agenda. The previous clans and their Arimas (wives) return; there are new beginnings and astonishing revelations.
So as I was reading some parts, I found myself trying to figure out what was really going on; because some events were very vague so my imagination had to take over. The author set up the characters and their situations leaving the reader to draw their own conclusion until she was ready to explain the real deal. That's good writing.
I enjoyed every character in this book. The good AND the bad guys. The various species and their histories seem real and when I got to the end, I was left wanting more. Looking forward to the next installment!
